My Musical Experience
My Early Years
My Youth:
- Sang in All-City Chorus (Newport News, VA) for two years, while in middle school.
- Performed Solos and Duets with Teachers during many school functions.
- Played my first song" Amazing Grace" after hearing my Mother practicing at the age of 14.
- Took Piano lessons for three years - learning to read music and developing my ability to play by ear.
Faith Baptist Church- Downtown Newport News, VA
- Played piano as an accompaniment at Faith Baptist Church for 2 years.
- Became the president, choir director, and soloist for the youth choir at Faith Baptist Church.
- Moved on to become the accompanying Organ player for Sixth Mount Zion Baptist Church until Graduating from High-school.
After HighSchool
Military:
While in Germany for 4 years I tested my hands at many different areas in music while attending C.O.G.I.C. Church services in Wurzburg. While there I:
- Filled in very weakly on Drums when we were without a drummer.
- Played piano as an accompaniment.
- Became the Men's Choir Director.
After Military Life
Not letting go:
- Joined a local church where I on occasion substituted for our pastor on keyboards who was an amazing and accomplished musician.
- I continued singing in there at every opportunity and was a choir member.
- Started teaching myself guitar and played there for three years until moving to Northern VA for work.
Starting the Journey:
- In 2013 with much encouragement from my dear cousin Rudeboy of LyteboxPhotography, I began to build my home studio and work on my songwriting skills.
2019 - continuing Growth:
- Learning from past mistakes
- Continuing to invest in the gift God gave me
- Shifted - I know only create, sing and worship for God.
Looking to the future:
- I have been developing my gift for sharing information in the video.
- I do plan to create more musical content but I have been in a period of developing my relationship with Yahweh!
- He is now and always will be the reason for my worship and praise, I do so for him and I hope I inspire you to do the same!
